The Story of WalknTours

Hi! I'm Greg, the founder of WalknTours.

WalknTours story started with a problem. I wanted an easy way to explore cities while traveling at my own pace.

Backpacking to 60+ countries, I spent hours everyday researching. If I didn't put in the time, I missed out.

One morning in Paris I didn't have time. I thought, there must be an app that has a walking style tour that could:

Guide me like a local guide to the sites and hidden gems.
Share those stories that bring the city to life.
And I could take anytime (like 7am) and at my own pace.

And on Left bank, where Hemingway once wandered, WalknTours was born.

WalknTours is you local tour guide, in your pocket. Go at your own pace, self guided, GPS location aware, hands free audio tours.

Each tour is researched and crafted to offer you a unique local experience, just like a local tour guide would.

And you can go anytime, at your own pace.

We've created over 350+ tours in 30+ countries.

Many of them are places I backpacked to and felt I missed something, cities like Ulaanbatar, Sighișoara and Kotor. And I've created them in popular cities I love including Boston, Charleston, New Orleans, Paris, London and 200+ more.
