By Car Nuuk is not connected by road to other towns in Greenland. There are no highways linking cities, so driving from elsewhere in Greenland is not possible. Within Nuuk, however, rental cars are available and useful for exploring surrounding areas. By Plane The primary gateway is Nuuk Airport (GOH), located about 4 km (2.5 miles) from downtown. Direct routes commonly operate from Reykjavik, Iceland, and from Kangerlussuaq within Greenland. International travelers typically connect through Iceland or Denmark. Taxis and local buses connect the airport to the city center in about 10–15 minutes. By Bus Nuuk has a reliable local bus network serving neighborhoods and the airport.
